Our Center was the Recipient of Three Distinguished Awards

At this year's Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Small Businesses Development Centers (PASBDC), the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center was the recipient of three distinguished awards: A Service Award for the Center of Excellence in Technology Commercialization in Healthcare, Life Sciences & Robotics, Partner Award, and 2020 Center Performance Award.

As a Center of Excellence, the Duquesne SBDC was able to assist the other 16 Centers in the PA Network to bring expertise to budding Entrepreneurs interested in these areas.
 

2021 Partner Award

The Duquesne SBDC successfully nominated a Client, BirdBrain Technologies, and its CEO Tom Lauwers who won the Young Entrepreneurs of the Region Award, thus successfully raising the profile of the PASBDC across the State. 
 

Center Performance Awards for both 2019 & 2020

For two years in a row, the Duquesne SBDC was recognized for its stellar performance in far exceeding the economic indicators established. 

Upon receiving the Awards on behalf of the Center, Richard Longo, Director stated “to receive one award let alone four was beyond my wildest expectation. What an honor and privilege to have been chosen. These awards go to the Staff and Clients who, over this past year, have gone over and above in the effort to assist small businesses in economic recovery”
